Hamish Miller. 2004. Dowsing: A Journey beyond Our Five Senses. Walker & Co. 56 pgs. - short, but nicely illustrated intro to a wide range of dowsing techniques. A nice gift for inquiring minds.
Tom Graves. 1990. The Diviner’s Handbook: A Guide to the Timeless Art of Dowsing. Destiny Books. 187 pgs. – practical intro to techniques and applications.
Terry Edward Ross and Richard D. Wright. 1990. The Divining Mind: A Guide to Dowsing and Self-awareness. Destiny Books. 130 pgs. – wonderful book on practical dowsing techniques, grounding the divining process, and advanced concepts in dowsing. Terry Ross was widely acclaimed as one of the best dowsers in modern history.
Sig Longren. 1986. Spiritual Dowsing. Gothic Image Publ. 107 pgs. – nicely illustrated, includes Tools of the Trade, dowsing Earth Energies, and Dowsing and Healing. Sig is active in Mid-Atlantic Geomancy, www.geomancy.org.
Tom Graves. 1990. The Dowser’s Workbook: Understanding and Using the Power of Dowsing. Sterling Publishing. 173 pgs. – a step-by-step guide with 114 exercises for beginning and advanced dowsers. Highly recommended for skill building.
George Applegate. 1997. The Complete Book of Dowsing: The Definitive Guide to Finding Underground Water. Element Books. 302 pgs. – the best review of water dowsing techniques with extensive geological illustrations.
Christopher Bird. 1993. The Divining Hand: The 500-Year-Old Mystery of Dowsing (the art of searching for water, oil, minerals, and other natural resources or anything lost, missing or badly needed.) Whitford Press. 372 pgs. – classic overview of the history of dowsing. Little on techniques, but the best review of dowsing people and techniques.
Leroy Bull. 2001. The Art and Craft of Map Dowsing: A Workbook. Minute Man Press. 29 pgs. – wonderful introduction and “theory on how we interact with the Universe.” Includes a dozen basic techniques on map dowsing ( a form of remote viewing.) This is my favorite book on developing my trust in map dowsing.
Dale Olsen. 1996. Pendulum Charts: Learn to Access your Natural Intuitive Abilities & Take the Guesswork Out of Life. Crystalline Publ. 44 pgs. – a wonderful collection of dowseable pie-charts primarily for use with pendulums. Includes nutritional supplements, allergies, and even car trouble diagnosis. (note there is a new edition with additional charts. His 190 page book, Knowing Your Intuitive Mind, is also recommended)
Kathe Bachler. 1989. Earth Radiation: The Startling discoveries of a Dowser . (New advances in the causation of cancer, allergies, arthritis, learning difficulties and many other diseases.). Wordmasters Ltd. 209 pgs. – classic review of over 11,000 cases of health problems caused by underground unhealthy earth energies which are detectable using dowsing techniques. Especially important for selecting sleeping and work places.
