The App Chapter is sponsoring a new benefit for members dubbed the “Member’s Guide.” This is an excellent way to advertise personal services, for no charge other than annual dues. Please understand, you must be a paid-up member to participate. This is what you will do:
If you have a home-based income program, such as offering music lessons, yoga classes, selling medical equipment, tax services, auto detailing, lawn mowing, plumbing, notary services…you can participate. Design a one-page, (can be front and back if you’d like), letter-sized advertisement. No legal-size paper. It can be text, may include pictures, be color, black and white, typed or handwritten, may include cut-out business cards, etc. This is your opportunity to become creative. It can include as much or as little contact information as you feel comfortable with.
Once you have the completed the page, it’s up to you to take it to a copy service place (Office Max, Office Depot and Kinko’s are some of the cheapest, at around 5-7 cents each) and make 100 copies. Front and back copies cost more.
Bring your copies to the next quarterly meeting. Binders will be provided to all paid-up members.
Throughout the year, new members (or ones who didn’t participate in the last meeting) may bring pages for you to take home and add to your Directory.
The ideal goal behind this will be that for the cost of the design and printing of your advertisement, along with your annual dues, you have the opportunity to advertise to a great, select group of people. Along with that, members who are looking for a specific service can go through their directory and find a local App Chapter member. This should be profitable to everyone.
Please participate! And be prepared at the next meeting meeting to distribute copies of your Member’s Guide sheet.
