ASD National Convention

ASD convention

The 50th Anniversay American Society of Dowsers Annual Convention is June 11 – 13 in Lyndonville VT, with pre-convention schools June 9-10 and post-convention schools June 14. Don’t miss this fun-filled and workshop-filled event. Always a great learning and networking experience. The 3-day rate for ASD members is $225 + meals & lodging. One scholarship is available for a member from the Southeast Regional Chapters. It provides a free convention pass but does not cover travel, meal and lodging expenses. After attending, the recipient is required to write an article about their experience at the convention for possible inclusion in the ASD Digest. Members may apply to Appalachian Dowsers, PO Box 932, Asheville NC 28802 or email appalachiandowsers@gmail.com . Include a statement of why you would like to attend the Convention. Deadline is May 5.

Earth Day 2010

The 40th Anniversary Earth Day is April 22! The 3rd annual Asheville Earth Day is set to take place on Saturday, April 17th, 2010. The free event will again be held at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in downtown Asheville. The celebration will include an all-day Kid's Village, an educational Eco-Village, local food from participating vendors, and local beer for sale from some of our very own Asheville breweries. The event will run from 11am-10pm. Sponsored by Greenlife Grocery.

Gregg Braden appearance

Gregg Braden will speak July 20 at the Blue Ridge Community College Conference Hall near Hendersonville. Admission is $50. More information: 828-290-7441.

Officer Vacancy

A member is needed for the position of Treasurer. If you are reasonably well-organized and motivated to serve the Chapter, please volunteer to be nominated. Officers serve for two-year terms.

By-law amendment

The following amendment to the By-laws will be voted on at the May meeting. It is needed for us to apply as an official non-profit: “In the event of a dissolution of the Chapter, all assets on hand will be transferred to the American Society of Dowsers, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.”

Earth Healing group

A small group has been holding monthly Earth healing actions for the past year. Additional participants are needed. Contact paulwbennett@bellsouth.net or call 692-6599.

Water dowser list

Notify us (appalachiandowsers@gmail.com) if you want to be on our active water dowsers list. We receive requests periodically for a well site dowser.
